What Manna Is Working On Now

Not every BSF project should be described as a deployment.

Overview

Four workstreams

Right now, Manna's work sits at four different maturity levels:

01 · Testing

Testing in practice

Substrate and recipe trials are turning operating observations into clearer questions about preparation, process control and what must be measured next.

02 · Designing

Designing facilities

Preliminary facility work is translating daily material flows into process interfaces, equipment questions, operating constraints and permit gates.

03 · Validating

Validating ventures

New venture models are being shaped around source-specific feedstock, local economics, partner roles and the evidence still needed from potential customers—not just a standard plant template.

04 · Operating

Running the system

MIND combines sensor data, equipment state and operator observations to support ongoing customer systems and their continued development.

Reality check

The wider picture

Regular discussions with small-scale BSF producers and poultry growers in developing and emerging markets add another reality check: the system must fit the operator, local supply chain and actual purchasing power.

The method

A shared approach

What connects these streams is not a promise that each will become a plant. It is a method:

  • → separate evidence from assumptions
  • → name the next gate
  • → advance only when that gate closes

Open question

A question for your case

Which gate creates the most rework in early-stage BSF projects: feedstock, regulation, process data or market access?
