Consultancy and project support

Work out what a biowaste case needs

Start with the decision in front of you. Manna provides black soldier fly (BSF) expertise from initial analysis through design, pilot work and delivery support where the evidence justifies the next step.

01 · Working together

Agree the next stage from the evidence

An initial assessment is a starting point. Deeper consultancy, a pilot or a partnership each has its own agreed work, deliverables and decision. You can also bring a specific process or training question from an existing operation.

  1. Initial assessment

Establish the material, location, current route and decision. Compare the opportunity with suitable alternatives, including biogas and composting, and identify gaps in the evidence.

    You provide
Your situation, available stream information, current costs and local constraints.
    The next decision
Whether to investigate further, test a specific assumption, improve the existing route or stop. Preliminary analysis does not establish full feasibility.

  2. Feasibility and facility design

Develop the business case, process layout, equipment requirements and budget around the actual material and local conditions. Compare investment, operating costs, remaining treatment and credible output markets on the same basis.

    Design basis
Stream tests, capacity needs, site services, operating skills and locally serviceable equipment.
    Operating model
Identify the customer, joint venture or other company that will run the facility, together with its responsibilities and supply and output arrangements.

  3. Pilot and validation

Design a pilot around the assumptions that need testing: substrate behaviour, process conditions, output quality or the route to a buyer. Agree the evidence needed before committing to a larger operation.

    What it establishes
Results under the tested conditions, with remaining uncertainties made explicit. A pilot does not prove every future operating assumption.

  4. Delivery, start-up and training

Manna can coordinate delivery partners, lead the agreed technical work, support commissioning and start-up, and help find and train the operating team. The customer, a joint venture or another company runs the facility; Manna does not collect waste or run facilities.

  5. Partnership where it fits

A case may continue through further consultancy, technology licensing or a longer-term partnership. Selected participation in an operating business can be discussed where justified, with responsibilities and commercial terms agreed for that case. Partnership is optional.

02 · Supporting the work

Technology and knowledge for the people doing the work

Manna MIND provides monitoring and control software for compatible equipment. Technology choices follow the process requirements, and a consultancy engagement can proceed without MIND.

03 · Next step

Start with the decision in front of you

Describe the biowaste stream or production question, where the site is and what you need to decide. Manna can then discuss a suitable next step.
