What does Manna Insect actually do? Part 1

The question is really relevant for us, as we are a for-profit organization who tries to get its bills, salaries, rents, and product development paid and preferably covered without having to turn to our investors for another funding round. Like any company, we try to become profitable and survive for years to come, and hopefully keep growing profitably as well.

So, I decided to start a short series on the actual products and services that we produce to make it clear for everyone that we do actually need to sell stuff too, to keep sharing all the great advice, links, research and more for free.

The first and for the time being the most exciting of all our products and services (to me, at least) is the Insect Farm Hub, the central place for all relevant information to learn about farming the Black Soldier Fly, to start a farm of your own, to do all relevant business calculations, to manage the daily operations of your farm in a systematic way, and to get support and find answers to any and all questions you may have about farming and making business out of Black Soldier Fly. Soon also a Marketplace will be added to the FARM, a central place for all products and services related to BSF.

Registering to the Manna Insect FARM Hub is totally free for everyone, and much of the content is absolutely free as well, but we’ll soon be publishing more in-depth courses, content, videos and podcasts under a “PRO” account, which is an annual subscription-based account type, that gives you access to all these new training materials and so much more.

We shall soon announce a more detailed list of content and tools that are made available for PRO customers, but we’ve already decided that the price of this all shall be kept low and accessible to just about anyone planning to or doing insect farming at professional level. The annual subscription will cost 190 euros (approx. 210 USD) per year, but we will start with an early bird price for the early adopters, which will be 99 euros for the rest of 2024 and covering the subscription until the end of 2025.
