What do I need for a BSF rearing trial?

Prepare the setup and material
Black soldier fly (BSF) rearing needs a suitable setup, prepared organic material and a source of starting larvae or eggs that meets local requirements.
Set a clear boundary for the first trial. Examples in older guidance are not a universal recipe for every material or location.
02 · First batch
Test conditions before scaling or assigning an output
Keep the first batch small and record the material, preparation, conditions and operating method. The results show what needs another test.
Any possible chicken or fish feed route depends on material, processing, regulatory and market checks. Do not assign an output before those checks are complete.
